For sale today is a super nice Victor P2 Phonograph from my personal collection.

At a time when Victor was seeking to promote the phonograph, the “P” or premium series was created. “P” machines were wholesaled to magazines and other businesses to be given away at no cost with the purchase of those firm’s products. It was a fairly ingenious business proposition. The “P” served both to introduce Victor phonographs to a broader audience, and to generate sales of Victor records. There are documented examples of a Victor P, P1, P2, and P3, all made up from different combinations of Victor parts and manufactured from 1902 to 1906.

This example is super nice and all original. It has a rebuilt Victor Exhibition reproducer. The felt on the turntable is original as are all parts. The case has minor wear, but retains its original finish. It has a strong spring and will play through a 10 inch record!

For front mount Victors, they don't get much more nicely proportioned than this one. It is a petite little machine, that plays records really well.

It has a Victor Exhibition, not an ERJ. Thank you for posting that, Eric!!

I forgot to take a picture of it with the correct reproducer on it. The ERJ would be too early. It looks exactly the same level of nickel. Glad to provide additional pictures with interest!
