Image of Silvertone Decal

Post by zonophpones7 »

I am hoping someone here on the forum can help me by providing a good, sharp focus, high resolution digital image and the dimensions of the decal for a Silvertone floor model phonograph. I have had a request to make this decal and I do not own one to copy. It doesn't have to be perfect because I will have to re-create it with vector graphics...so chips and minor losses are ok. The machine being restored has 3 coats of paint over the original decal so there is nothing left of the original to copy.
Thanks for your help!!!

This might work --

From -- Silvertone Decal -- https://www.decalsunlimited.com/product ... phonograph

Can someone confirm that this would be correct?

That decal replica is different from the one on our machine. Similar, but different, as the decal on our Silvertone has the word 'phonograph' within the tail of the script.

Here is a snapshot from ours. Hope this is helpful.

All the best,

Hello Gregg,

Here's one from an orthophonic if you ever need it.

The distance from the left point of the banner to the right midpoint (indented portion) is 80mm.
Measurements taken from outer edge of black outline.

Three coats of paint!! I rescued a Hayward and Wakefield floor model wicker machine on the last day of an estate sale. It was natural wicker that someone had sprayed blue and did a poor job as well. Now it's white and the restoration is almost complete.
