Maybe the vendor is having a one-man auction. He, the seller, lists the item, is the only person to bid on it, and eventually wins it! Good luck bidding is what I say to him. I hope he wins it.

Logic dictates that they're not and never have been a collectors' favourite because of the amount of space they take up when they're only a conventional machine.

I agree. Victor really must have had a brain cramp the day they designed the hump back. I first saw one at a garage sale when I was 13, and even then I thought it was hideous.

The only ones that are really eye catching are the top end ones. The 330 is almost attractive, I think the curved front doors help tie the design together a bit. Still, Victor made a really bad decision.

I just read over the above entries and the auction site again, and was struck with the seller's bizarre logic (or, being a seller, perhaps it's bazaar logic? Sorry, bad pun.). It's as if he's saying "Hmmmm, no one's bidding. Hey! I bet my opening bid is too low! Yeah, that's it!"

Yes - this "logic" reminds me of the New York State Thruway Authority, who decided 18 months ago that something had to be done about falling revenues from I-90. You guessed it - - they raised the tolls!

...And I'll bet you know what happened after that!

This guy with the "humpback" Victrola ought to be working for New York State - - after all, we have a multi-billion dollar budget deficit and we need creative ideas to get us out of this mess...
