This was one of Victor's Top Of The Line consoles just before the Orthophonic era. Great starting price.

Re: VV230 on Ebay- $95.00
sadly, I can no longer view ebay from the computer at work, so I'll check this auction out when I get home. although if this machine is in decent shape, depending on where it's located, I'd bet the price should reach at least 500, given the market.
I used to have an immaculate VE-330, which I sold a couple years ago for about $950 - it was just too big, although it looked fantastic sitting next to the VV-130 I used to have, but also sold before moving. the 230 is my favorite of the series though... unlike what I've read from others, I actually like the humpback design, and think that the additional curves over the top of the machine in the 230 cabinet design really flows well with the curves across the sides and front. any way...

Re: VV230 on Ebay- $95.00
... my mistake... I confused the flat-top 230 and the 330 (which has the domed lid)... what I used to have was the electric 230, the ebay auction is for the wind-up... now that I'm home, I checked out the auction and... that's a nice machine. that model is also quite large - actually, I think it's the largest acoustic lowboy/console model that victor made.

Well, they're only "so far away" when it is a terrific bargain and you really want it!

Who ever got it has a brand-new account with zero feedback.
