A rare Brunswick picture record of the Casa Loma Orchestra
Here is a scan of a very rare Brunswick picture record of the Casa Loma Orchestra I wanted to share with the group. I think the record is from the early 1930's.

jazzgirl1920s,
Very nice, thank you for posting it! Is this one of the earlier picture discs?

Wow, what a great record Jazzgirl, I have quite a few Casa Loma Brunswicks from that era, but was not aware of the existence of a Picture Record like this one, where did you find it?? It is certainly a rare record item from the depression era for sure!!

What are the titles on it? That would give an clue to when it was released.

Titles are Casa Loma Stomp/Constantly- vocal Kenny Sargent. This scan of the other side of the record should give information on the date of the record. The record is 7" in size.

Neat record, looks like some kind of promotional/souvenir thing for the engagement listed on the back.
I've had it that the Casa Loma didn't come under Glen Gray's leadership until 1934, whereupon they became "Glen Gray and His...." So, perhaps 1934 would be a good guess.
