Wanted: WW1 Edison Discs, Memorabilia for Museum Exhibition

Post by Valecnik »

Looking for First World War Edison Discs, paper, memorabilia, pictures for a Museum exhibition which would include an Edison Army & Navy phonograph.

Titles that come to mind include:
- "Bing Bank Bing Em on the Rhine"
- "Just like Washington Crossed the Delaware, General Pershing will Cross the Rhine"
- "We'll All Go A Callin' on the Kaiser"
- "Let Us Not Forget"
- Etcetera

Contact me with any items you might have.

Also looking for a clean nickel DD reproducer I can have rebuilt so the museum staff can play these records on the A&N machine.

Email if you have anything you'd like to offer for sale.

Thanks,
:)

Wow I'm surprised at getting a few quick replies and questions.

The Museum is the Norman County Historical Society museum, part of their pioneer village in Northwestern Minnesota.

For those of you who might find it interesting, I include below a photo from 1917, the original of which will be part of the exhibit. Those in the center of the photo are the first group of men from Norman county leaving for the war in 1917.
