Hello, I am new to the forum but a long time phonograph collector. buying my first machine in 1977.
Loving the look of glass sided Zonophones, with the help of a very good, I finally added a double glass sided American made Zonophone Concert Grand to my collection. The few I have ever encountered vary in terms of the support arms and horns on them, but I am seeking the rod supported arm for a 30" horn with the screw that holds against the wood cabinet. (See image below) I also need a tone arm. Mine came with very clean original parts, but they are supporting a 24" horn. I know, good luck! I would consider reproduction parts.
I found the image below of the support arm I seek shown on a Zonophone catalog with a Concert Grand on the cover. I found the patent diagram below for the support on Rene's great site. (Thanks Rene!). Of interest, I note the patent date is July of 1902 and so presume, other arms could be correct on an early Concert Grand if they predate mid 1902. Perhaps the arm appeared prior to the patent being issued. Not sure what year they were first offered by Zonophone and hope someone can answer.
I do have a 30" horn that has a repair, but since the condition of the machine is superb, I'd pay well for a clean, undamaged horn. Pictures to follow. Glad to be a member here. Thanks to everyone for sharing their knowledge and collections. Please message me if you have, or know of anyone who has these parts or a machine they might consider selling. Thanks, Todd
