March Craigslist Fun!!

Post by SonnyPhono »

Here are just a few of the interesting finds I came across tonight on craigslist.

Nice looking Aeolian for only $75! Is it walnut?

http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/atq/1622284923.html

This isn't a steal, but if you are looking for a cabinet...

http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/atq/1621694552.html

I don't know enough about these models to comment on price. But it may be a fair deal.

http://austin.craigslist.org/fuo/1622370022.html

Here is a nice VV-XVII with records in original albums. A bit expensive but don't see them too often.

http://newyork.craigslist.org/stn/atq/1621876959.html

I think this is flemish oak. It's a really attractive VV-XVI in my opinion and has the key and a full set of albums with it!

http://phoenix.craigslist.org/cph/atq/1621598644.html

Here is one of the nicest Silvertone phonographs I have seen for only $150.

http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/atq/1621919696.html

Cheap tabletop Victrola for $75.

http://worcester.craigslist.org/atq/1618850909.html

Here is a VE-220 for $60. It would be great for parts!

http://chicago.craigslist.org/wcl/atq/1621286982.html

Sorry to do this one, but at least it looks like quality work.

http://rochester.craigslist.org/atq/1620636954.html

Too expensive for me, but thought I would share this VV 8-30 anyway.

http://knoxville.craigslist.org/atq/1621707491.html

This isn't a rare find or anything. But if you look closely, there is a gold Diamond Disc reproducer next to the tonearm! : ) And for $100...might as well!

http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/atq/1621953251.html

Clean Claxtonola.

http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/atq/1621170485.html

Here is a $40 tabletop.

http://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/atq/1620794633.html

Here is a VV 4-40 that may need rescued for $50.

http://columbia.craigslist.org/clt/1620758991.html

Fireside with maroon horn. Price is a little high still but sounds like he needs to get rid of it.

http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/doc/ ... 02833.html

I have never heard of a Maxitone, but would love to have this one for only $100!!

http://burlington.craigslist.org/atq/1621415921.html

Here is a portable for $80.

http://fortcollins.craigslist.org/clt/1619527852.html

I think this is an attractive off-brander.

http://siouxcity.craigslist.org/for/1621837914.html

Look where the horn is on this one!!

http://grandrapids.craigslist.org/atq/1619919624.html

Attractive tabletop phono.

http://fortmyers.craigslist.org/lee/atq/1620295655.html

Needs some work...but for $95 I don't think it would be a bad deal.

http://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/atq/1620412263.html

Wasn't there a thread recently about an Alba phono? Here is one:

http://omaha.craigslist.org/atq/1622379846.html

I know it's a lowboy...but for $95?

http://appleton.craigslist.org/atq/1622058347.html

This is a really nice Columbia music cabinet. I would love to have it!

http://seattle.craigslist.org/est/atq/1622412319.html

Not a bad price if it is in working condition.

http://cleveland.craigslist.org/atq/1619649425.html

Great looking Diamond Disc. What model is it?

http://bend.craigslist.org/atq/1621492887.html

This was a good start for the month of March. I would love to know if any of you end up with the listings I posted above. I thought there were some really good deals and some unique finds. Does anyone have any comments on any of the listings?

That would be an A-250 or B-250. I don't know if it's possible to tell the two models apart from the photos.

It would be interesting to see if that really is a XVII. The photo was lifted from "The Old Crank" site -- http://www.oldcrank.com/collection/vict ... closed.jpg

The seller simply refers to it as an "Rca Victora Wide (sic) Up Victrola Good Condition."

Thanks for this thread. I just phoned and bought the Columbia matching record cabinet in Seattle. The seller is going to Portland for an antique sale and I'm going also. Perfect! Jerry Blais

Jerry,
I don't recall ever seeing one of those cabinets. Do you think perhaps someone slapped a decal on it? Keep us posted, please!

Stan S. in Portland has the identical cabinet with the decal on the inside. It's the matching cabinet for a Col BI. Yipee!

Jerry,

I'm really glad you were able to capitalize on one of the listings posted. I have to admit that I am a bit jealous though. :) As I posted those listings one by one, I stopped to show my wife that cabinet as it looked to be in great condition and out of all of the things I found, it was probably the one I would have tried to buy had I been in a position to do so.

Congrats again and keep us informed if you would with some more pictures/info when you get it.

Here is a group of 7 phonographs for only $350. Granted they need plenty of work and are common models. But hey, someone should bring them back to life! :D

Is this radio is a Victor factory addition?- it looks like someone just pushed a set into the record compartment.
