Found a Pathé cylinder machine at a Paris flea market today

Post by melvind »

I am visiting Paris and saw this Pathé machine at a giant flea market. I did not intend to buy it so I wasn't too nosey. But it came with what I think was an original box of cylinders, a round container for the horn and a reproducer box that seemed to be full. No idea of the price but I thought it was a nice thing to find. I just had to share...

Oh hice! Are you going to visit Phonogalerie there?

If by chance you make it to our neighborhood, (Prague) let me know!

You should get it. It's a complete time capsule. It has all the great features. Reproducer in the original box, Salon or Grand cylinders(can't tell by the picture) in original boxes, nice machine with original horn. You may never get an opportunity like this again.

Its a Pathé 0, horn is in stunning condition. If the round horn carrier bag is complete, it would be a big score by itself.

Wow! I'm looking forward to having a "find of a lifetime" like that, but I'll have to do a lot more searching

Well, Soundgen, that's one machine you won't have to tell us about how fake the parts are! LOL that's one mighty fine find.
