Re: Grille cloth for a Credenza
APSCO, the Antique Phono Supply Company carries grill cloth they claim as an accurate replacement for the victor orthophonics. I purchased some for a restore of a 1-70. It looks nice, however, I do not know if it is "exact" or not. Others can comment. http://antiquephono.com/victor.htm

Re: Grille cloth for a Credenza
APSCO gets their stuff from grillecloth.com. Their patterns 60 and 80 are spot-on for the early Orthophonic machines.
Pattern 13 works with the late 1927 machines, which used a cloth with a slightly more pronounced weave.
Pattern 8 is just the ticket for the 1928 and later machines, including the VV-1-70 and 1-90 machines with triangular crank escutcheons, the some 8-8 and 8-9 machines, the 8-35 and 8-36, and the RCA machines like the T-90. Perhaps one of the Canadians can tell us what patterns have turned up on the 8-10 and the late Alvara machines.

Re: Grille cloth for a Credenza
Has anybody tried their pattern 52? It's identified as RCA and Victrola, and sort of looks like what my 10-50 and Credenza grilles have, but those sample pics are not exactly detailed. If I look at them really really close up, both my machines' grilles have a pattern of dark brown + metallic gold threads running perpendicular to each other, vertical and horizontal.
