We in this hobby deal with a lot of model designations that include letters and numbers. But when using the search function built into the forum, those non-word terms are ignored. So if you want to find prior postings with Victor III or Edison C-19, you are just plain SOL.
But there is an alternative, which is to use google, externally. The bots are scraping this thing all day everyday, so why not put that to work?
Here's how. Just open a new browser tab and go to google. Enter the following:
[search term(s)] site:forum.talkingmachine.info
So for the two examples above, enter:
Victor III site:forum.talkingmachine.info
Edison C-19 site:forum.talkingmachine.info
Easy peasy.
Forgive me if this is obvious or has already been posted here.

Re: How to Search This Site For Model Numbers and other nume
Hi Peter:
Many thanks for posting this. Actually, though, I've used Google's "site search" feature for years, since I first found out about it.
In case you don't know about this, another handy tool is Google's advanced search page -- https://www.google.com/advanced_search -- which I've used for my home page for the last 20 years, or so.
This allows you to do site searches, search for specific file types, search for certain terms and exclude others, restrict results by language, etc.
