FOR SALE: Edison opera disc 82525 Destinn "Suicido" - $80.00

Post by pughphonos »

Nice copy; no skips or strips. Appears to be a pressing of "Style 2" (1914-15) (a la Copeland & Sherman's book on DDs) as its edge number is evenly printed. Title is in quotes, which is a labeling that dates only from 1913-1914. No surface separation issues at all; entirely sound.

A nice deal; hope folks on here recognize it.

Emmy Destin's (Ema Destinnova's) bust near the entrance of a building in which she lived from 1908-1914.

Great image; thanks!

What I'll also always remember about her is her inner thigh snake tattoo (as reported by paramour Arthur Rubenstein in his autobiography).
