Sold only in New York State in 1908 this is the rarely found Edison Home Phonograph model C. You will occasionally find the Edison Standard model C and Edison Gem model C but the Edison Home model C is rare. And this one is nice. I have included a video link below and will include some close up pictures and additional details later after lunch (DONE!). If you have all the Edison Home models except this one here's an opportunity to own one and complete your collection. This one was upgraded by the original owners with 2/4 minute gearing. The horn is an original 14" brass bell horn. PM with interest. Thanks.
Here is a video I made of this machine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1MAaFJ ... e=youtu.be
The cylinder I selected for the audio part of the demo was not in the best condition but it was handy. It was cold outside too but it was sunny so I hauled everything outside for the video so you could see it in natural lighting. The original finish is very nice on this. The bright morning sunshine makes the finish look dried up but it's good. There was a cygnet horn crane bracket on this at one time. The mandrel has a teeny tiny indentation in it that is barely visible but I wanted to mention it. Overall, this is a very fine Edison Home model C.
Thanks,
Doug
