Wow, I wish I was the one! I believe the electric version of that model is pretty rare too!

Yea, only about 2,500 of the XVII's were made. I can't tell from the pictures, but if it's a VV-130, then there were only about 500 of those made. Either way it would be a great addition to my collection!

Nice machine but,I like the crank better.As always this one is missing it's 10" "J" & "P" album.The "P" is in the bottom right corner.It was only used in the 17 and 18.The hardest album to find.

Gorgeous VV-XVII! It has the Exhibition soundbox, but what is all the extra hardware mounted around it? I've read about automatic repeater attachments-is that what this is? Also, seems to have some device around the needle head as well...hmmm, my Victrola education isn't up to where it should be.

My Victorla 17 is the early model with the exhibition.It also came with the reproducer lifting device and on the arm is the light attachment.I also have a gold Vic #2 reproducer for it but, like to leave it the way it came.This machine came from the original family.

Ah, a lifting device! Was this before Victor had the automatic brake tripping mechanism? Or possibly the lifter was one of several possible options? The light attachment I recognize now, by seeing the shape of it. I've seen a picture of that light taken from the other side, so didn't recognize it at first. I think it's fantastic that you aquired this Victrola from the original family that owned it.

Yes!!! the ever handy dandy "lifting device" LOL!!!!.The machine has the auto stop like all the rest.It is the only victrola I own.I use it as my regular player.

Now I know.............the rest of the story. Don't feel bad about that being the only Victrola you own-if you're gonna have just one what a beauty! I have just two windups: a 1926 Victor Credenza & a 1926 Brunswick Panatrope 106 portable. Both are in nice original condition, & the Brunswick had its reproducer rebulit two years ago-sounds sweet. The Credenza's Orthophonic soundbox is being rebuilt as we speak(type??) & I look forward to hearing it in ALL its glo-ree!
