I promised myself I would stay away from console models considering the floor space
issue, but I have been hoping to ad an Edison to my collection for some time.
Does anyone know the model number on this one or other info as far as production volumes, etc?
Thank-you

Contact Rob Rolfs at [email protected] as I feel that he, maybe, could help you on this information. I got an Edison cabinet from him last year, empty cabinet only that I just use for storage of records, it is not the same, but quite similar enough that I feel maybe Rob would be able to help explain more about what model this is that you are inquiring on.

That's a BC-34 also called a Baby Console. Introduced in 1922, it initially cost $175. It was a popular model. (Info from Frow's "The Edison Disc Phonographs"

That looks to be a BC-34, or "Baby Console". Production began in May, 1922. For two months it had a No. 100 horn but after was replaced with a No. 150. It has a single spring motor. It's starting price in 1922 was $175.00 which was raised in November, 1923 to $185.00 and then lowered in October, 1926 to $155.00. From June, 1922 through January, 1925 there were just over 52,000 BC-34s made.
Side note: They cost around $62.00 to produce. So that would make for a total profit of roughly $5,700,000.00 from just this machine through it's production.
