Phonograph portrait from 1924

Post by Lenoirstreetguy »

Here's a page from a Kodak brochure about indoor photography using flash sheets: magnesium impregnated paper that one lit with a match and hoped that the result wasn't a home production of the last act of Gotterdammerung . WHOOSH! :D
Here is one of the suggestions for indoor portraiture with the diagram for the set up. I have no idea what make the phono is but the pic is fun: she's going to play a record and sit down and read. I can relate to that.

Hey! Having an interest in antique phonographs, and being originally from Rochester, NY (....sigh..), I am doubly drawn to this photo.

What a beautiful picture. Anyone know the brand of phonograph?
