Wanted to share this interesting Warranty Certificate that I purchased.. The size is 8 ½" X 10 ¾".
Pretty neat graphic's showing Uncle Sam listening to a Columbia cylinder machine..
Warranty was issued for a Graphophone, Style Disc, Type BN Feb 9, 1907.
Pretty good shape for it's age. Reverse side is completely blank.
See three attach pictures..
Has any other members come across a warranty similar to this??

That's pretty neat - - I've never seen one. It's interesting how the company stressed that exposure to dampness would void the warranty; emphasizing the presence of rust on the metal parts.
Congratulations!

Yea I thought the same thing about the rust but then when you think about it, you see photos of these machines on front porches, in front of sod houses etcetea. Certainly keeping them in unheated damp rooms was quite common even for wealthier families.phonogfp wrote:That's pretty neat - - I've never seen one. Well-- Interesting that this would show up- At one point in time, I owned that exact certificate and sold it-- Glad to see it is still surviving--- Now to make it more interesting-- I got it from a friend who had the same certificate in full color for the same BN/ serial number. I'll ask him to dig his out and try to get a photo or two. It's been many years since I've seen his, but I recall it being beautiful.
I had never seen one either, George. Over the years I decided to sell my Columbia machines, so sold the certificate as well. I believe I sold it at the Wayne show, but it may have been Ebay-- If/when I get a photo of the color certificate, I'll post it in this thread.

Very cool! I grew up near Ronks, PA.
