For sale: victrola xvi for parts or restore Inquire
Anyone need any parts from a victrola xvi? The whole thing is not to bad but does have a bad spring. Has all the record holders, some nice, some not to nice. It’s not a L door. Let me know what your looking for. Could be a nice set to restore too if you can pick it up.

Hope this isn't coming across as harsh, but parting out an XVI because of a bad spring sounds kind of dumb.
If I had room I'd fix it but there's not a ghost of a chance I could add on another floor model now. Unfortunate but true.
Someone will snag I, I'm sure

Not parting it out because of the bad spring. Parting out because no room, don’t want, and don’t want to restore. Yes I hope someone wants the whole thing. With shipping I find them hard to sell.VanEpsFan1914 wrote:Hope this isn't coming across as harsh, but parting out an XVI because of a bad spring sounds kind of dumb.

With all that said I think it’s restoreabale, so if someone wants it.

Pictures would probably help and also list a price. I've never understood why people would put inquire. Unless they want their inbox full of "How Much?" messages. What's the big secret?

Well it’s hard to put a price on parts. As I don’t know what you want. Am I to price every part on the machine?PHONOMIKE wrote:Pictures would probably help and also list a price. I'm not trying to be argumentative here but that's what others have done in the past. http://forum.talkingmachine.info/viewto ... &hilit=xvioldtvsandtoys wrote:Well it’s hard to put a price on parts. And how would someone know what to offer without pictures of the condition of any of the machine as a whole or parts?

Mike, maybe you should read this. After all they are the Yankee Trader rules and if a problem......should be addressed to a moderator by PM....not a member on their listing. I have seen too many new or first time members innocently post an item in the hopes of helping others only to be chastised following "our" rules "Inquire" and never post again.PHONOMIKE wrote:I'm not trying to be argumentative here but that's what others have done in the past. http://forum.talkingmachine.info/viewto ... &hilit=xvioldtvsandtoys wrote:Well it’s hard to put a price on parts. Wayne, I wasn't chastising him and neither of us are new on this forum. I just thought posting a picture would help members see what is involved with this machine. This is the very reason why I'm not as active on this forum as in the past. I'm only a half hour away and might have been interested in the machine but I'm not anymore. This isn't worth anyone getting upset about (especially me which I'm not) It's your thread oldtvsandtoys. Go about as you want. It's not my machine so I don't care. I won't even look at this thread again.
