Very interesting!
I wonder what brand of phonograph works are installed?
Such a decorated piece should play something better than a plain black shellac record- maybe a Vocalion splatter design or Vogue picture disc!
Thanks for posting!

Couldn't help thinking of an old Doonesbury cartoon... "Afro-Rococo"

The museum must be very happy to exhibit such a beautiful example of folk art.

Jerry, are there details about this machine posted somewhere on the forum? How about a Featured Phonograph?

We had Forum fun about a year ago when I asked for the make and model of the machine which was the starting point of my piece of folk art. The prize was a pair of Nipper salt & pepper shakers. If you searched for "Can you identify this mystery machine? Prize Awarded!!" you would find it. The grand prize winner was Glenn "Damfino59."
