Is there a website or place to go that shows, by drawings, how to oil a common Edison cylinder machine. I need illustrations and things like that, but not You Tube or any video places. This is for an older man who doesn't use internet. I want to send him a copy of illustrations/ or instructions. Thanks for any help you may give.

"A Complete Manual of the Edison Phonograph" by Tewksbury is a good source. It's on-line in Google Books, plus you can get a paper copy. It covers just about everything. Oiling instructions are in the Spring Motor chapter. It's very simple, but no illustrations.

Which model does he have? I think the manual that came with the machines details all that.

Is there a place that has those manuals on line to see? I may just take a picture of top and motor and just draw circles and lines to give him an idea.
