I have one with a broken diamond and want to replace it, but the diamond seems to run the depth of the stylus bar. An attempt at burning it out was not successful (with a MAPP gas torch). Beating on it with a pin punch and hammer didn't work either. Does anyone know how to get it out?
Thank you.

Don, I have read that these were secured by electroplating. Nickel was likely used but I don't know. You can study up on "reverse" electrolysis or acid removal, but asking Steve Medved would be faster.
