Gramophone balcony in Barcelona

Post by melvind »

A friend of mine is on vacation in Spain and while in Barcelona she sent a picture of an Art Nouveau balcony with a figure of a woman holding a gramophone. It is very nice and I would love to live in an apartment with such a balcony! I asked he if it might have been a gramophone store at one time long ago, but she didn't think so as it is a residential neighborhood where all the balconies are all decorated with various figures. I would like to believe it might have been a store, but who knows. Anyone know more about it by any chance?

That is neat. I wish I would have spotted it when I was there. Thanks for sharing.

Great post Dan. We were there recently and missed this. Too bad as I would have tried to buy it.... . Customs would ask if I had anything to declare..?.....just part of a building...

James, thanks for the close up pics....very cool.

By the way....I think it's a Paillard model. What do others think..? ;)

I knew someone would know more about this. And the video is quite a treat. I am glad my friend sent the picture to get this info out to our community. I love stuff like this!
