Request any info regarding these Edison DD record cases

Hello!
I picked these two record cases up awhile back, and haven't been able to find anything like them doing internet research. Judging by the attached emblem they were made by the William Bal Company of Newark NJ.
I once saw an Edison dealer shipping case with the same manufacturer emblem. It resembled a film-reel case, of what appeared to be the same material. That case held maybe 5 to 10 discs and was closed by web straps, and was apparently used to send demo discs back and forth from the company to dealers. Also, the lock assembly is the of the same manufacturer as the hardware for my Army-Navy machine:
"Corbin Cabinet Lock Company" of New Britain, Conn. One case has the Edison script logo, and the other hasn't
One has an "S" stenciled on the top, and the other is marked "Car" Has anyone any information about these? I think they're pretty cool!
