Apollo "Instantaneous" Record Repeater

Post by gramophone78 »

I thought I would share this seldom seen Apollo record repeater. I like how they use "Instantaneous" to describe it's function. Is there any other kind of repeater....

It was patented in 1917 and again in 1920. Manufactured by the International Musical Appliance Company of Providence, Rhode Island and sold for $3.00.
Hope you enjoy the video. https://youtu.be/sFmAeJGfzNA

Excellent sharing. I liked your repeater stop video too.
Though the mechanism are simple, its much intriguing at times.
This is what I guess draws us to explore more. Like you I also take immense interest in gramophone related accessories.
This is so fascinating. Lets keep up and cheers D:)

Very nice presentation!
Would you have a scan of the setup directions possibly?
Repeating that record selection over and over might drive anyone nuts! :squirrel:
Three dollars was a lot for that era.
Thanks for posting.

Nice gadget!
A dance instructor could benefit from the extended play.

Not to mention,"Is invaluable where records are used for educational, commercial or instructive purposes"....purposes".....purposes"...

I guess it still needs some adjustment.... .
