I've had an eye out for an Edison Diamond disc machine for a while, this popped up on Facebook marketplace, poor machine, I asked about it and it had been gutted some time ago and is just the cabinet

Re: So near yet so far...
Not only gutted but badly stripped, this was once a "London Upright", a low priced mid-1920's model selling for £35 in the UK.
Even complete and in good condition it would be unlikely to achieve the £200 being asked for it. As it stands it is firewood.
Diamond Disc machines do not usually sell well in the UK, mainly because of the difficulty in obtaining really good discs on this side of the pond. Some of my collector friends who own DD machines take holidays in the USA to coincide with the big phonofairs over there, doubling up their visits as buying trips.
