I have an Orthophonic 8-60 that needs refinishing. The wood and veneer is in nice condition but the finish is 90% flaked away. I wouldn't normally bother but an 8-60 is kind of rare and I really want to restore it.
So, who does an authentic job with these, including the proper shading/toning? I'm in the Detroit area and since this thing isn't exactly portable I'm hoping for someone in the MI, OH, IN region. Help!
Who Refinishes Orthophonics Correctly?

Re: Who Refinishes Orthophonics Correctly?
I suggest that you call Paul Edie. He is in MI, very near Detroit, and does cabinet restoration work. He knows what he is doing, and can do a very authentic refinishing job. He will be happy to talk to you and describe the process. You can reach him at [email protected].
