FOR SALE: Edison D.D. A-275 Sheraton Inlay - $300.00 obo

Post by billbossus »

Looking to sell this Diamond Disc A-275 for $300.00. Machine works fine. The case has a few small scratches and nicks here and there. The back has a couple of touched-up "abrasions" that you might see in the first photo. There is some black paint chipping on the turntable plate. Reproducer has been recently rebuilt. Machine is pretty clean. I can send more pictures if interested. I am located on Long Island in Suffolk County. If interested please PM me.

Great machine and a great price IMO, these are far more scarce than any of the 250 /19 models, I will never part with my A-275, which is just a few serial numbers above this one. I can't believe this is even still available.

Good luck!

I too am surprised that a decent A-275 would sit unsold at $300 (or BO). What other upright that uncommon AND that good-looking can be had for that price?

I have a B-275, and it sits next to a Circassian Victrola XVI. Guess which one most people (admittedly non-collectors) admire? The inlay on those 275s is so pretty...

I'm guessing this one also has the earlier "dial" mute ball control assembly in it. Mine has no mute ball or assembly and shows no signs at all of ever having had one.

I couldn't have said it better, George, my A-275 is the machine everyone compliments. I play a few DDs on mine every morning before work while I have my coffee. I can hear it throughout the entire house thanks to a nicely rebuilt reproducer.

I can only echo you guys. I have the A-275 no. 10908 one number higher than Sean's and it has that funky volume control on bent rod Sean mentions. One of the most attractive machines in the DD lineup imho.
