Record Cabinet...American or European ?

I stumbled onto information regarding a mystery record cabinet I have owned for years.

All these years I have assumed it was of North American origin (and may still be) as there is a small branding "Patent Applied For" on one edge.

However, the other day and to my complete surprise and amazement.....there it is pictured in a period (1907) Italian Gramophone catalog from a Milan dealer.

Could it be of European origin after all or was it also sold in Europe...??. Based on the catalog, could it have come out of Paraguay or Uruguay..??. Either way, a long way from Canada.

Well, that is very interesting. Where is the plate located on your cabinet..?. The pic is not very clear and the wood appears blond in color. It yours also made from quartered oak..?

Hi, yes its oak. The plate is in the middle front of the shelf where you have the 2 soundbox cases. Mine is a bit inaccesable at the moment hence the blurry photo.
