Re: Victor I on Proxbid
I had never previously heard of Proxibid, but I see that it has a presence in the UK and claims to be "the most trusted marketplace for buying and selling highly valued items".
Has anyone here used it, and if so with what result?

I have used the proxibid system a few times with no issues, you have to look at all fee's and tax's then shipping. I also have been to a few live auction's where they were taking live bids through proxibid. This gives the auction house the whole world to bid on there items.

"RCA Talking Machine," eh? Wonder how they came up with that notion?
Where do you plug it in?

Lots of people make that mistake...Dad and I spotted this beauty the other day. It's got a large horn and the original adaptor, and the elbow is in great shape. With its bullet brake and everything it's an older model.
Cleaned up nicely it will be a real peach. If anyone here gets it and wants to go back with the small Vic I sized horn, and wants to do something else with the big horn, please let me know! I have a 1909 Vic III and would not mind trading the black & brass on it for a morning glory type.

Plus the 15% internet buyers premium and another 5% credit card transaction fee on top of that. And shipping if the buyer needed it. Hammer price isn't what the buyer paid.VanEpsFan1914 wrote:Sold for $550! Someone got a deal.
