The green of FRESH peas is just fine- this looks more like canned peas or what was called Avocado.

This one would be a good project. I bet the seller would let it go for a lot less. The paint would bubble up with stripper and be removed with a plastic scrapper, causing no damage to original finish which might come out fine with a rub-down using 0000 steel wool and Danish oil.
Any missing mechanics are easily obtained. This one still has its casters!

What a travesty to perpetrate on a VV-XI. It might be worth it to try to strip the paint off-?-
Is there something jammed into the horn slats (r/h photo)? Maybe that's the "record storage" area!
