there was one on the Portland OR CL for quite awhile, but it's not there now. Marc, check with Cliff up there (CDBPBX).

Thanks Wayne and George for the tips. That console sure looks like the Cheney equivalent of an Edison Baby Console. Yes it is a lower level model, probably a Hepplewhite console. Do you recall what city it's in? Marc.

I corrected the link in my above reply, which will now properly take you to the listing. It’s in Jacksonville FL.

Here’s another Cheney, also probably not high end. What does a high end Cheney look like? By the way, if I see one, I will PM you the info.

Here's a Style 6 Queen Anne Model- one of the high end models. Please excuse the crazy grill cloth- my daughter likes it.

Yes, that is a Queen Anne model 6 and is a high end model that sold for $300 new. That grille cloth kind of ruins the look though, but your daughter likes it so OK. I would like to find a Queen Anne, or a William and Mary, or a Sheraton console, or other higher end model. I realize it might take some time to locate one, but I have about 4 months until Union to find something that Jerry could get for me at Union.

Yikes. The big ones are pretty borderline, closer to garish.

Yes, that's the attraction. Can you name another phonograph company as funky as Cheney that even said their phonographs would IMPROVE over time as the violin wood in the horn aged like a Stradivarius?
