I find this so interesting and even though the format was short lived and not all that successful, it is an amazing feat.

https://youtu.be/FwFVSXN7jfcI would not be surprised if this same music was available in 78 RPM format. I am no expert on Program Transcriptions, or records in general, but I do remember reading (somewhere) advertising information from Victor about the new format stating that they planned to release everything made for the Program Transcriptions as 78 RPM sets as well. I don't know what might have been dubbed, but from listening to a couple of the longer sides on this early PT recording I believe it was recorded directly to the 33 ⅓ RPM format.Wolfe wrote:I wonder of any of these were dubbed from the Schubert Centenary scroll set (which I have) that has some John McCormack with Nat Shilkret conducting Salon Group sides. I'd have to pull it out to see, I don't remember offhand.

It's almost a certainty that these were also issued on 78 RPM, as the first entry in the "non Stokowski" group listed on this site is from the same group and catalog series:melvind wrote:I would not be surprised if this same music was available in 78 RPM format.
