I've had this Victor external horn machine sitting around in my closet for sometime and after all the research on Victor external models, I still can't identify it. I couldn't take a picture of it but it looks very similar to this:

Energ,
Is there not a metal tag on the front or the side with a model type stamped into it, like, "Vic III"?
If it's exactlyas pictured except for the back of the back bracket where the tonearm is mounted, it'd probaly a late victor III which would require a slip in elbow.
Some pictures would be very helpful making an accurate determination though.

From your description it sounds like it is probably a later style Victor II or III machine. Is this what you are describing? If this is the situation, a later style Vic II does not have corner columns on the wooden case, a Vic III would have the corner columns. Hope this helps.
