78 RPM record show in Allentown?
I'm in the process of weeding/cleaning/organizing "stuff," and in a box of same I came across this notice of a 45/78 RPM show in Allentown, PA from 2017, which someone must have sent me in an eBay order or some such. It claims the event is "semi-annual." Does it still take place?

Thanks! My not terribly ept Google searching had turned up only a companion show for CDs and DVDs. So I guess the next question: is it oriented to pop music only, or would a classical/opera collector like me find it worth a visit? Or even to bring some dupes for sale? Assuming the current epidemic ever again lets us meet in groups larger than one, that is....

I haven't been to the Allentown show, but I'd guess the 78 rpm for sale might mirror the stuff that actually sells well on older 45 RPM's, like rock n' roll, R & B, blues. And maybe some jazz and gospel.
I have been to a number of record of shows that advertise 78 rpms and at best, someone (s) is there with a box or three or maybe none. Classical / opera 78's I find to be non-existent at such shows. If you're a dealer renting limited space at a table, you'd like to be putting out stuff that gets on it's feet and hops out of there, not stuff you have load back in the truck afterword.

OT - Oh, splendid, I'm so gruntled to read that! I LOVE using non-existent un-negative words like that!drh wrote:Thanks! Re: 78 RPM record show in Allentown?
I've been to that show a few times and it's more modern than the Wayne, NJ show. Lots of 45's and later 78's (30's - 50's), some earlier 78's but not much. That's on Saturday, on Sunday it's all 33's (or vice versa). It's a decent size show but attendance is a little light, similar to the Jazz Bash (but without the movies).
