Morrison Records Seattle, Washington

I just picked up two Morrison records which was a label in Seattle, Washington in the 1940s and 50s. I live in the Pacific Northwest so these records are very interesting to me. Their records are unique because they were all hand pressed and trimmed usually with swirled mixed colored vinyl. No two copies ever look the same. I could not find any information on the performers, but there is history and information about the company in the expanded notes on the YouTube videos.

One of the records is unlike any other I have seen. The normal label is blue with Gold and black text and a gold striped band around the outside edge. One of the records has handwritten titles on each side and no indication of the performers. And, the label has simple white lettering and a blue striped band instead of the gold around the edge. There was some indication in my reading about Morrison that they did local one off records in addition to their commercial records. Perhaps that is what this record is, I have no idea. It could be a test pressing I guess too, but I suspect a private record.

The videos for each record are more or less the same video with the record playing being prominent. I found a bunch of other image examples of these colorful records online and included them in the video as well.
