"Everybody Works But Father” 7 inch Duplex Record ca. 1905

Post by melvind »

Here is a fun label. And, it is a seven inch record at that. All Kalamazoo Duplex records are rare but it is much more common to see 10 inch records than 7 inch.

This is a comedy song that is still funny today. And, perhaps a common condition!?

I need help from the experts on TMF. I have a couple of guesses about the singer on this record. But, I am not sure enough to publish a name. Some of you will know who it is right away as you listen to it. Reply with the name here and I will update the YouTube video information. -- Thanks!

----- I got an answer right away. It is Billy Murray which is what I had guessed, but since he recorded it for Victor as well I wasn't sure if it was correct.

"Everybody Works But Father” by Billy Murray (7 inch Kalamazoo Duplex Record) ca. 1905

Thanks! :rose: I thought so, but was not sure because he recorded it for Victor around that same time.
