June Issue of The Antique Phonograph

Post by rodpickett »

The June 2020 issue of The Antique Phonograph arrived today via snail-mail.

Another remarkable product of the Editor, Rene´ Rondeau and his contributors.

Sadly, there are three tributes to icons who were dedicated to the history and preservation of antique phonographs and related.

Another article authored by John Levin and Ken Flaherty document the obscure recordings by the Michigan Electric Company.

Finally, in Part I of his series, Michael Sherman opinions on the “Dozen Machines That Matter”. What are yours?

Mine also arrived today in northern California.

The vagaries of the post office: this issue was mailed on April 28, three weeks ago yesterday.

Based on past performance, I would expect mine to arrive sometime in mid to late June.

It looks like interesting content -- as usual. :rose:

I’ll eventually put in my $32 and become a member. But my dad wants me to buy a new phone first. Probably after I get some nice things this upcoming June 14th. ;)

Mine arrived to day in small town coastal Oregon.

Hey George, in your article about the AA page 20 seems to end in the middle of a hyphenated word. Is is just me or is something missing at the end?

Mine arrived today in Pittsburgh. Dan, the text on page 20 starts in the RIGHT-hand column, and continues on the left-hand side after the photo. I've noted in past issues that the text layout formatting around photos is sometimes, well, non-standard. Thus, the hyphenated word is "unheralded."

My copy arrived today in Western New York as well! :)

Dan, I'm glad Coyote explained the formatting. I haven't had a chance yet to look through the issue, and it would probably have taken me all evening to figure out the gremlin.

Looks like another interesting issue!
