Help wanted:Pathé Modele B motor spring

Stripped my Modele B today as it was hard to wind. After opening the spring barrel I think the spring is partly broken(in 2 places). The spring is 30mm wide and barrel 70mm diameter. Can someone help with the spring type/ends and best way to replace.
