Not a true crap-o-phone, just a ruined Pathé. I guess that they were trying to match the rustic decor. Nailed it!!!!

Maybe they heard of "stick-ley" Craftsman style furniture and this vision came to mind...

I particularly like the antler lid handle... they heard the term "horn" elbow and the creative juices started flowing...
