Reproducer from Edison Standard Phonograph Model A

Hi all,
I hope everyone is doing well. I found this broken reproducer from Edison Standard Phonograph Model A, Two Clip. Is the hinge shown in Part B must be attached to part A of the image one shown below? However, nothing seems to be broken in the reproducer. What is missing in this reproducer, and is it possible to repair it?

Looks like the hinge block is broken off in the reproducer. Needs to be drilled out and replaced with a new hinge block and a new diaphragm and gaskets. Hopefully the stylus is good. You should send it to Wyatt Marcus 585-224-5453.

This appears to be an Edison model B reproducer.

1) You will need the threaded hinge block pin drilled out and tapped and you will need a new hinge block (which you can install yourself if desired).
2) You will also need the limit loop wire replaced as the one in this is missing.
3) It appears that you will need the limit pin on the weight unless it's present. I don't see it in the picture.
4) The diaphragm is shot so you will need that replaced.
5) The two gaskets on either side of the diaphragm will need to be replaced.
6) The stylus should be checked to assure it's in good condition. If not, it can either be replaced or rotated if possible.

Ron Sitko (phone 518-371-8549) can drill out the broken hinge block pin and tap the hole (for a very reasonable $10 last I knew) for the new hinge block. Ron also has the new hinge block, new gaskets, diaphragm and stylus (if needed) and he can probably install the new limit pin on the reproducer weight and the limit pin wire that is missing on the reproducer body. Ron's prices are very reasonable, his workmanship and parts are excellent and he is a great guy to deal with.

Drilling out the broken hinge block pin can be tricky since the surrounding reproducer body wall is very close to the hole. Ron has done MANY for me over the years but if the reproducer body wall is too thin in that area then he (or anyone else for that matter) may not be able to drill it out as there is risk of blowing out the thin body wall in that area. But in 95% of these he can drill it out and tap it perfectly.
