Picked Up My Columbia HG From Raphael Cole

Post by rgordon939 »

Since I saw this Columbia Home Grand Graphophone on the Musical Treasurers of Miami website I knew I had to have it. It is as beautiful as every other machine I’ve ever bought from Raphael. Also what great timing as he is coming to New Jersey and I will be able to pick it up from him. If I had a little more spare change I would have bought the other two Columbia’s also. Great opportunity for anyone in the Metropolitan Area, NY, NJ, PA, to pick up a great machine and not have to pay any shipping charges.

Rich,

Thanks for the kind words. I have three other Concert machines listed on the Yankee Trader. For those unable to link up with me next weekend in New Jersey, please note that I ship world-wide.

Yes the machine has two banks of 3 springs for a total of 6 springs. They say it can play 14 concert cylinders on one winding.

I saw this in Yankee Trader as well. This is a really beautiful machine. The case is a stunner but above all I love the ornamentation to the cast pieces. Post a video of it playing when you get it! I’m sure many (myself included) would love to see it in action.

This HG was never listed on the Yankee Trader, but I do have three other Concert machines posted there.

You’re right! I thought it looked similar to the Columbia HG which you posted, but they are certainly different now that I look again. Both are stunning pieces!
