This is near me. Its $425 and it does play. Its obviously Victor but I don't collect internal horn machines.
If you want it let me know and I will pass the info along. I am guessing its $$$ for what it is, because the 78 on top was $25!
Don't know what this is, maybe YOU want it

It's a Victor Consolette, I believe. VV 4-3. Looks very nice, but I wouldn't pay $425 for it....although it's not insanely out of the ballpark..

I envy you guys - since I live in South Korea, everything is way, way overpriced.1926CredenzaOwner wrote:I find these here for around $200-$250. That is a nice one, but... yeah. Really over priced.
I know one of very few Antique Phonograph dealers who recently sold this same machine for about $6000. Well, he is selling those cheap Columbia portables for $300, so there's nothing I can say.
Like someone say, it's the seller's market in Korea.

Isn't that the Victor equivalent of the HMV 157?

6000? are you sure it was a victor 4-3? I know prices in some places vary wildly, but that's pretty ridiculous.

bascially, although the 157 has a metal horn, the 4-3's is predominantly wood. otherwise, they're pretty similar.

thanks for that - didn't realize the VV 4-3 had a wooden horn. Regards, Glenn.brianu wrote:recordo wrote:Isn't that the Victor equivalent of the HMV 157?

Victor never really got into metal internal horns like HMV did, I know the 8-8 and 8-9 had them, not sure of others. Maybe metal horns fared better in the damp UK climate.
