Wanted: Slotted Aeolian Style Crank

Post by Granby »

Hello - I spent some time in the shop this afternoon and was able to get some dimensions on a crank that I need for one of my off brand machines. Does anybody have one of these laying around? A little tarnish and age is fine, I would rather it look old.... :)

The specifics, The hole in the escutcheon is 9/16. I had another crank with this total dimension and it fit in there perfectly! On the motor, the shaft the crank would need to slip over is ⅜ inches. This is not an Aeolian machine but an early production run Crystola. My trial and error style research is showing me that this could quite possibly be a VERY similar crank based on other examples I have seen. If somebody owns an Aeolian and wants to verify my dimensions and offer some input, that is great, too! But, in the end, as long as it is a slotted crank and will accommodate these dimensions, I guess I am okay....

Forgive my terminology. I know a lot about the history of these things but this is my first crank request.

Thanks in advance!
