advice on edison standard value

Post by USlakeside »

This machine has the language repeater a repainted after market horn and 37 4 min cylinders for 450. Seem a bit high? condition isn't bad at all.

Hmmm, looks like it only has 2 minute gearing. Wonder how they play the 37 4M cylinders?

As long as they don't replace the belt, the 4 minute cylinders will play as well as the 2 minute cylinders.

Yeah, the parts were not all from one purchase, he said. Obviously a MG horn on a ICS machine isnt the original intent. Any advice on the price?

I guess value will depend on how nasty the repainted horn is and the condition of the cylinders. Obviously, you'll want get a different machine for the 4 minute records (or sell them to buy 2 minute records). I'd probably go $400, although I really like ICS machines, and you don't see as many Model Bs in that configuration. It looks like it's in pretty good shape, but it does seem to be missing the little tag on the front. Let us know what you end up doing on this.
Regards,
Martin
