Broken cylinder

Post by dyxshop »

This Pathé cylinder was broken during Usps transportation. I tried to repair it, although there was a lot of noise :D

A broken record is very sad.

This image is from Polka Des Clowns sheet music.
It would best apply with a disc record, but Clowns will be Clowns...

The playing surface looks really rough. I'd be worried about damaging the reproducer.

What did you use to try the repair?
"The phonograph† is not of any commercial value."
Thomas Alva Edison - Comment to his assistant, Samuel Insull.

"No one needs a Victrola XX, a Perfected Graphophone Type G, or whatever you call those noisy things."
