I think she's quite crafty. Not my taste of color selection, but that pedestal she made was pretty cool

If a purple horn and purple felt (in place of the good condition original green felt) is your thing, then it's not as bad as it could have been... Actually, the idea of making the "pedestal" to place it on is an interesting idea... I have never heard of anyone using Mod Podge to glue wood together or to glue felt on a turntable, though...

I have to commend her for carefully preserving the felt and for being aware that someone may want to bring the machine back to it’s original appearance at some time. The horn that she stripped looked to be in good, original condition, but it was not rare or pristine. The work was carefully done and she seemed to have a love and respect for these machines. If she had stripped the cabinet and painted it, that would have been a shame, but she seemed to be very respectful of the future preservation of the machine while at the same time, making it suit her needs. She also educates the public and maybe gets someone else interested, so I have no issue with what she did and I think that she is very talented. Speaking only for myself, it is a tasteful, hot-rod restoration that is mostly reversible.
