Never-before-heard Del Lampe side

Post by RolandVV-360 »

Recently acquired from an Ebay lot due to the primary title (I'm Nuts About Mutts), I realized that the flip side of Crown 3450-A was not transferred. As I have recently started uploading transfers to my YouTube channel again, I uploaded the flip side just today. I hope everyone enjoys this never-before-heard side. Please check out some of my other uploads if you are pleased with this one.

That's a great record! Thanks for posting it.

The Lampe family history is a little convoluted- IIRC Dell was born in USA, but studied under a student of Liszt in Germany. Dell's father, Jens Bodewalt Lampe was a composer and was born in Denmark. It seems the elder Lampe may have started the Trianon, as the 1924 Autograph recording of "Trianon- A New Dance" is listed on the label as composed by J. Bodewalt Lampe and directed by Dell- or maybe the old man just wrote the tune.

One of Jens' forebears was German, but the German Lamps spelled their last name without the final E.
