Re: Interesting Article
Can't read it unless you are a subscriber. I see that it is about John Levin and his phonos so definitely a worthy read. Maybe you could save the article and repost here? That would be appreciated!

I'm not allowed access without a subscription either. I'm using a Samsung phone (android) and Google Chrome browser...

Okay, when I click on the link, after the page loads, I see the a box prompting me to subscribe (See Attached), but if I click on the "X" in the top right corner, it disappears and I can see the page again.

It's not a subscription in the sense it costs you $$ it just lets you receive emails from the paper

Yes, maybe it's only that... Similar to a Spanish newspaper which I subscribed just a couple days ago, just for gaining access to their wonderful archives... Lots of Gramophone adverts from the Spanish market in the early 1900s...

Re: Interesting Article
Thanks for posting this... fascinating article. I really love John Levin's ingenuity and resourcefulness in developing technology (especially lacking any formal vocation in such engineering) so that these relics aren't lost to time. I'm currently working on digitizing my wife's and my vinyl LPs for the sake of downsizing, so I related to Levin's setup (although mine is much simpler, of course). He's really demonstrated how to put such capabilities within reach.
Cheers!
