I wonder what it says on the metal tag (upper left of the motor board). Maybe a close up photo might be helpful to assist identification.

Re: So what model is this?
It's a 4-3 aka Consolette. Nice little machine that performs well for its size, especially with a rebuilt Orthophonic reproducer. You may want to seal the horn, but with a horn that size it may not matter as much.
I don't know why this style is not show on the victor-victrola site. If you Google "VV 4-3" and click on Images, you will see others like this.
Definitely worth picking up for cheap.

I just looked over the page profiling the Consolette (4-3) and you're right.
Instead of the later model 4-3, there's a photo of the similar looking 4-7, which unlike the Consolette had a small folded horn.

Someone should contact the site's administrator about this.

Re: So what model is this?
The Consolette/4-3 came in 3 different cabinet styles. The earliest had no grill. Later ones had either a "square" grill similar to the one used on the 4-7 or the "angled" grill like the one shown above. I'm not sure which of these came first, but I can see why someone might confuse them.OrthoFan wrote:stetam wrote:I can't find it anywhere on the Victrola model site.

Re: So what model is this?
Quite correct, it is an error on the page pointer for that model. I will make the corrections over the weekend. Thanks for the inputs!
