Is this the most bizarre re-purposing yet?

Post by Orchorsol »

For auction a few miles from here this weekend - could this be an old gramophone carcass? And if so, is that the old spring motor inside, driving the automaton? I might have to make an appointment to go and look!

Well we now know two things:

1. Contrary to repetitive advice by Mr Punch, that’s NOT the way to do it.

2. James May’s 70s period in puppet design was both frighteningly accurate in making his likeness AND a fashion nightmare.

(I secretly love it - buy it immediately even if purely for making Haloween videos)
